Can you believe we’ve already come to week 8 of our “Meet Our Team Monday” series? We are so excited to take a few minutes & sit down with our very own Gary Taylor. With almost forty years in the fundraising field, Gary has managed more capital campaigns than anyone else on our team!
- What did you do before joining Dickerson, Bakker & Associates?
I was in the preaching ministry for 26 years across Tennessee, Georgia & Arkansas. - Where did you go to college?
I attended the University of Memphis (Memphis State University). While there, I was a letterman on the baseball team for 3-years. - How did you hear about Dickerson, Bakker & Associates?
I met Clark while serving in the ministry & before I knew it, I was working with Clark on a regular basis as part of Dickerson & Associates. When Derric & Clark merged to create Dickerson, Bakker & Associates, I was honored that they asked me to stay on board as a consultant. - What made you decide to come work for Dickerson, Bakker & Associates?
When the two companies merged it seemed like a perfect fit for me and where I was at in my career! In other words, we go together like Biscuits & Gravy!
- What do you look forward to most when starting to work with a new client?
I always look forward to seeing a client’s growth over the course of our time together. Having a part in their mission & seeing them expand their ministry is always a blessing. - What is one goal you hope to achieve with a client when starting a new project?
Going into a new project, my main goal is to help them learn more about stewardship & understand Biblical principals. - What is your favorite part about being a part of Dickerson, Bakker & Associates?
I get the most joy out of working with all of the different types of people I meet & seeing them meet their goals is extremely fulfilling. - What is your favorite part about being a part of Dickerson, Bakker & Associates?
People are always shocked to find out I can do a real good Elvis impression. Thank you…Thank you very much. - Anything else you’d like people to know?
On June 3rd, 2016 – My beautiful bride & I celebrated 50 years of marriage!
